Deep Purple to drink Pisco Sour while in Lima, Peru

(LIP-ir) -- Deep Purple, an English hard rock band considered one of the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, is scheduled to play at the National Stadium in Lima, Peru at the end of the month.

Local media has reported that the band will drink Pisco Sour and enjoy typical Peruvian food during their stay in Peru. The band has requested a bar with an array of fruits and typical Peruvian drinks.

"The group has planned to eat typical dishes and it is a fact that we will treat them to our national drink. They know about them and that is why they have requested our drinks in the bars in their dressing rooms," said Peter Herrera, the event organizer.

Event organizers explained that Deep Purple's tour manager and director had sent a list of the band's requests, in which the band's diet as well as their special requests were listed.

"They have requested that their leisure time be respected and warned that they tend to be loud, stating they will not let anyone control the noise they make anywhere," explained event organizers.

Deep Purple will have five luxury vans, with Evian water, at their disposal while in Lima. The band also requested two dressing rooms with living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, offices and telephone as well as internet connections.

Plenty of fruit and a bar with typical Peruvians drinks such as Pisco Sour, are also on their list of demands.

And what about the girls?  Won't the group have their rooms stocked full of groupies too?  If they do, the "gals" will probably be over 50.

Space, you are old dude. But think about it. I had the 8-tracks, because the industry discovered that open reel to reels were prone to accidents due to excessive bong use. So in order to cater to the bong guys, they decided to enclose the reels; 8-tracks. Another expat hippie living in Peru. Got a love it. Rock On!Wink
