APEC and EU-LAC Peru 2008 Summits - Daily Update
23 companies to sponsor V EU-LAC Summit in Lima
(LIP-do) -- The High Level Commission of the Vth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC) has signed 23 sponsorship agreements by over one million dollars to assit the leaders and almost 3,000 people who will attend the summit. The chairman of the V EU-LAC Sponsorship Committee Fortunato Quesada said “these agreements are not only to assit the authorities, but would be an opportunity to introduce the Peruvian products to the world". The V EU-LAC Summit and the business group Aje subscribed an agreement of sponsorship which states that this enterprise will provide products such as mineral water, sodas, juices and nectars by around 50 thousand soles to this event. Quesada added that this event is not only a political meeting but also would help Peruvian enterprises to establish contacts for future negotiations.
