More than 500 police officers are honored for security during EU-LAC Summit

(LIP-do) -- More than 500 police officers were honored today by the District of Callao for their commendable work and efficiency in security during the V European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC) Summit held this past week. At the ceremony, held at the Plaza Alipio Ponce of Callao, the officials were saluted by Callao Mayor Félix Moreno and received congratulatory certificates for their work and professionalism which allowed the capital to maintain order during the international event. "Let us no forget that the dignitaries who participated in the summit first entered the country through Callao, said General Bruno de Benedetti. A moment of silence was held for semiofficial Lady Anaya Torres who lost her life during a car accident while she assisted during the summit.


Sunat starts customs prodcedure workshops in mark of APEC

(LIP-do) -- The National Superintendence of Tax Administration (Sunat) has initiated workshops that will help the representatives of the member economies of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Forum interchange experiences in order to adopt common instruments to facilitate exterior commerce. Said events will congregate more than 100 delegates from the member economies, for five consecutive days in the city of Arequipa. The results of the workshops will be displayed at the next National Superintendence of Customs meeting.
