Tickets have officially gone on sale in Peru for this year's World Wrestling Entertainment Summer Slam Tour and fans across the country's capital are ecstatic.

Even though the event will not be held until next month and due to popular demand, event organizers have announced that pro wrestlers will be arriving early to meet enthusiastic Peruvian fans.

2004 U.S. and Intercontinental Champion Carlitos as well as Wrestelmania Champ Mr. Kennedy will be in Lima for a press conference on June 12.

WWE fans across the country have been invited to attend the press conference, which is to be held at the Sheraton Hotel on June 12 at 10 a.m.

Peruvian websites are buzzing with the news, as fans prepare to meet the two superstars at the airport and accompany them to their hotel.

Helton "The Game", a WWE fan and owner of two official stores in Lima affirms that the pros presence in the country's capital is amazing. "I've dreamed of traveling to see the show and the fact that they will be in Lima, for me, it's a dream come true."

Peru's National Stadium will be equipped with an official ring as well as with huge television screens and the necessary equipment to provide the WWE light show and fireworks.

The WWE Divas will also be present.

If the 20,000 tickets are sold, this will be the largest wrestling event in Latin America. The record was set by Mexico when it hosted a WWE event that turned out 15,000 fans in 2006.

Tickets went on sale at Ripley department stores on May 26 and are costing between 79 and 930 soles ($30 - $345 approx).
