Minister of the Interior Luis Alva Castro was in the northern city of Trujillo on Friday to kick off a new police program which is to ensure citizen safety in one of the largest cities in the country. Police in Trujillo will now have 16 new patrol vehicles, 58 new motorcycles and 10 auto rickshaws to patrol the city's streets. It was reported that the donation made to the Trujillo police force was valued over 2 million soles.
