Each person in Lima generates an average of almost 21 kilograms (46 pounds) of garbage per month, revealed a technical environmental study done by the National Statistics Institute (INEI).# Jessica says :

The districts cited as having the highest number of kilos of garbage are business districts. Is this NSI survey making a distinction between garbage produced by residences and that at businesses, restaurants and factories? It appears not. It's not accurate to say Limenos produce this garbage; rather, the waste should be attributed to businesses and institutions.
