Peru has the best economic performance in Latin America and for that reason Brazil has a special interest in promoting exports, said Brazilian ambassador to Peru, Jorge Taunay d'Escragnolle Filho.
He mentioned that the Interoceanic Highway will contribute to strengthening trade relations, because it will encourage a greater flow of exports between the two sides.
The diplomat said Wednesday morning that Brazil's ties with Peru enjoy a good momentum which will be strengthened during the visit of Peruvian president Alan García Perez to Sao Paulo.
President García will arrive in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 18 to attend a week-long investment promotion event aimed at showcasing Peru's economic potential.
Ambassador Jorge Taunay added that this event called "Peru Week" will include a business roundtable to be hosted by Brazilian leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
