
President Alan García Pérez will visit Brazil on September 17 and 18 to inaugurate the large-scale event called "ExpoPeru 2008" to be carried out in the city of Sao Paulo.
This event, which will be also attended by Brazilian president Luis Inácio Lula da Silva, is the most important Peruvian promotion activity held in that country.
ExpoPeru 2008 will present investment opportunities as well as business roundtables.
It will also include cultural and artistic exhibitions, a gastronomic festival and a series of meetings with focus on tourism promotion and trade-related activities.
The event will be sponsored by the Industry Federation of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp), the leading regional manufacturing sector organization in Brazil and in Latin America.
In the business field, the Peruvian government has organized ExpoPeru 2008 in close coordination with Proinversión, Promperú and the Chamber of Commerce and Peruvian- Brazilian Integration (Capebras).
