Peru's national football team will play Wednesday a tough game against FIFA qualifying round leader Paraguay in desperate need of a victory.

Today’s match will be played at 16:00 hours (21:00 GMT) at the Defensores del Chaco stadium and the referee for the match will be Brazilian Salvio Fagundes.

After their 3-0 loss to Bolivia in La Paz, Peru is forced to win to continue having chances for qualifying for 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

With one win, four draws and four losses, Peru has a -14 goal difference and seven points.

After nine rounds of play and a recent loss against Bolivia in La Paz, the team has only scored five goals and is ranked last in South America.
