Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel


After just one year and a month in operation, Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel has become the only establishment in Cusco to be certified a 5-star hotel by the regional government.

Sumaq has 60 ample and luxurious rooms in three categories, superior deluxe (46), junior suites (11) and Sumaq Suites (3), all of them equipped with electronic systems such as fire alarms, smoke detectors, thermal heating, wireless internet connections, mini bars, mp3 radios and cable TV, among other features.

The architecture, infrastructure and interior projects were designed based on the landscape, incorporating exclusive designs from the Inca culture in all decorations with pieces elaborated by Peruvian artisans.

The Qunuq Restaurant and Suquy Café – Bar, offer exquisite and various samples of novo Andean, gourmet, regional and international gastronomy, with menus a la carte carefully elaborated by renowned Peruvian Chef Rafael Piqueras.

Sumaq also has a Natural Spa "Aqlla", with millennial therapeutic techniques in thermal baths as well as medicinal plants used by ancient Peruvians.


Tourism, Gastronomy and Entertainment Fair

For the joy and benefit of Peruvian citizens and tourists alike, the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL) is organizing the second annual Tourism, Gastronomy and Entertainment Fair, which is to take place from October 31 - November 2 in the Limean district of Jesus Maria.

The event has been organized to foster tourism, gastronomy, and entertainment in Peru, said CCL representatives, explaining that business opportunities would also be presented.

With conferences, seminars, renowned speakers and specialized workshops, the fair is to be an event to remember, said the CCL.

Aside from being able to take advantage of business opportunities, participants will also be able to try exquisite Peruvian dishes and cocktails after a pisco contest.

There will also be fireworks, a Peruvian Paso Horse show, Marinera dance champions and art crafts for all to enjoy.
