I take Bea's word. How many people have been sold down the river by priests from the Catholic church? If they're not part of an anti-government NGO, they're molesting children.

No one.

It didn't happen. The supposed site of the mass grave was visited by no fewer than four prosecutors, five medical doctors, the regional representative of the Defensoria, and members of the army and PNP. The found nothing.

"the the Chief of the Ombudsman's Office in Bagua"
Extra 'the' in there.
Glad to see that no mass graves were found. If they can't be located, there are certainly some people who need to be prosecuted for spreading lies about the gov't, inciting panic, etc.

The poor indigenous community is being abused, not that much by the government, but more by its own so-called leaders who thrive by putting as much oil on the fire as possible and spreading all sorts of nonsense.Add your comment
Firstly, let's put a stop to the usage of the word 'genocide', unless somebody can prove here that Garcia willingly sent his troops to erradicate the indigenous community (or parts of it). What bothers me most is the lack of self-criticism of that same community. Blocking roads, resisting the police with weapons and murdering captured policemen. Please, many mistakes were made and you cannot put the finger only in 1 direction.
