Arequipa is currently getting ready to receive more than 25,000 tourists in August, since it is its anniversary month and many activities tourism attractions are programmed, such as serenades, parades, parade floats, among others.
“Last year we received 25,000 tourists, and this year we expect the number to increase, that is why we are working in coordination with other institutions linked to the sector,” said Rocio Cervantes, regional manager of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
Many other tourist promotion plans are also being prepared addressed to the local people, in order to let them learn more about their own province's history and attractions.
