Peru: Camisea consortium to invest US$ 380 million

According to Andina, Camisea consortium is performing extension works in its plants in Malvinas (Cusco) and Pisco (Ica), with an investment of US$ 380 million.

This will allow to increase its processing capacity by 30% with 1,220 million cubic feet per day, Pluspetrol reported Friday.

With these extension works, Camisea will process 1,580 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 110,000 barrels of associated liquid for 2012.

“This is an important milestone in sustainable growth since the beginning of operations in 2004,” said Roberto Ramallo, Pluspetrol Executive Manager.

He pointed out that the the maximum potential volumes of original gas in place is about 18 trillion cubic feet.
