Cashiriari natural gas field (Block 88 of Camisea) will start to produce
by the end of 2009, led by Camisea consortium.
Cashiriari, one of the largest reserves of this hydrocarbon, is located 400 kilometers southeast of Lima, in the district of Echarate, province of La Convencion, in Cusco region.
Its reserves have been estimated in 8.8 trillion cubic feet, and experts consider that production per gas well in Cashiriari could amount to 100 and 120 million cubic feet natural gas per day.
Mipaya natural gas field, located in Block 56 of Camisea and discovered in 1987, will begin to produce in 2010 or 2011.
