A Bolivian parliamentary committee will travel to Peru next week in order
to improve and enhance the ties between the two countries, which have been deteriorating recently.
According to Michiaki Nagatani, President of the International Politics Committee of Bolivia's Congress, the delegation is "finalizing the details of the trip, which will take place possibly on July 8th and 9th, and in which will participate at least one deputy from each political party with representation in the Lower House.”
Diplomatic ties between Bolivia and Peru have deteriorated in recent weeks; President Alan García called Peru's Ambassador in La Paz, who returned to Lima indefinitely.
