New flight might bring 3,000 more tourists each week

According to Publio Santander, the president of Peruvian Association of Travel and Tourism (Apavit), the new flight that American Airlines has scheduled to serve Peruvian destinations will have a possitive impact, bringing 3,000 more new passengers per week to the country.

This projection considers a minimum 60% occupancy rate of the plane seats.

In addition, Santander said that “everything that means an increase in connectivity is good for the country,” remarking that this tendency works both ways, since several recent reports on the matter indicate that there is also an increase in the number of Peruvian tourists to abroad destinations.

Great! Another AA flight to arrive hours late. They will fly an additional Boeing 757 from MIA - LIM leaving at 6:00 PM and arriving LIM 11:50 PM. Return to MIA leaves at 9:40 AM and arrives at 4:30 PM.

I checked the AA.com website and don't find any mention of new flights to Lima. Maybe they are planning this and have not confirmed it.

There is no announcement for the new flight but searching for flights in March or after, etc, shows 3 non-stop daily flights.
