Lima: 3 places to donate for flood victims

Extreme weather conditions have left many without homes in the past few weeks. Here's how, and where, you can help.

Deny global warming if you like, but there's no turning away from the unfortunate reality of destroyed homes faced by thousands of families across Peru after weeks of heavy rainfall and floods.

A government campaign, 'œNuestro Peru unido' (Our United Peru), will be receiving donations for the victims in three different locations across Lima. Water, non perishable foods (i.e. canned fruits and legumes, cereal bars, peanut butter), and blankets are the most sought after, however clothing and other items will be accepted as well.

The three locations are:

Estadio Nacional (National Stadium), at door 17 (explanada norte)
Jose Diaz, Central Lima 15046

Villa Deportiva Nacional, at door 14
Av del Aire, San Luis 15021

Eduardo Dibí³s coliseum, at door 2
Av. Angamos Este 2681, San Borja

The campaign began last Friday, January 27, and aims to distribute collected goods to victims across the country.
