Authorities from Puno's Regional Government are finally meeting with representatives from several districts in Putina and Sandia, who are channeling the people's demand of a new road, Yanahuaya-Sina, to connect them with another markets.
According to El Comercio, some 4,000 people marched from their districts to Puno's capital and are currently gathering in front of the Regional Government's office, demanding that the road be built soon.
Carlos Fernández, El Comercio's Correspondant in Puno, reports that a negotiating commitee is currently talking with the popular leaders in one of the offices of the Agrarian Regional Directorate, in Puno's downtown.
