The process of registration for applying to the new Mayor Secondary School “President of Peru,” intended to be an elite educational center created by the government that will accept students from second, third and fourth grade of Secondary Education under a boarding school regime, has just started yesterday.

According to the Ministry of Education, the process of enrollment will end next Monday 23rd, and the names of the competent aspirants will be published the next day.

Classes will begin on March 1st, and the Mayor Secondary School will work as boarding school: it will educate the best students from all over Peru and will have the best qualified professors.

Initially, it will operate at Huampani Recreational Center.

The admission tests will start in December 1st with some tests, like proficiency, reading comprehension and logical-mathematical reasoning.

The applicants must also present a Social Development Project.

It makes want to go back to high school. It seems like a nice initiative, hopefully it'll work.
