The floods in Tingo Maria, in Huanuco, have severely affected the low areas located to the left margins, including Tingo Maria's airport,
reported daily Expreso.
Several blocks of the Raimondi avenue, the main avenue in Tingo Maria, were covered by the Huallaga waters.
The flood also damaged the Anti Subversive Military Base 313 of the Peruvian Army, and the provisional camp of Cora project, as well as the area known as Naranjillo, eight kilometers away from Tingo María.
Local authorities and the Army
started a mobilization to evacuate residents, specially from little nearby towns like Libertad, Castillo Grande, Los Laureles, Sopote and Vía Potocar.
