Peru's gold and uranium mining projects attract Canadian investorsMining projects regarding gold, uranium and polymetallic mines in Peru are generating considerable interest among Canadian investors, according to Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Martin Perez.

Perez, who is currently in Toronto attending the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) annual conference 2010, said that Peru’s stand is one of the most visited.

“We cannot disclose specific company names, but we can say they are large mining firms from the United States, Canada, China and Australia," he told Andina News Agency.

Peruvian delegation is led by Minister Perez, and by the Environment Ministry, as well as by the Central Reserve Bank.

This convention is the largest event regarding mining exploration in the world, and an opportunity to promote Peru as an investment destination.
