Peruvian entrepreneurs are expecting to hire more workers during the second quarter of 2010, which positions Peru in the fourth place in a ranking of the countries with the highest expectation in new hirings,
according to daily Gestión.
Gestión quotes a survey conducted by
Manpower, which shows India as the top country with the highest expectations of new hirings, followed by Brasil, Taiwan and Peru.
Peru also is in the second place in Latin America, according to this survey on Employment Expectations, which also states that 32% of the Peruvian entrepreneurs plan to increase the number of their employees, while only 7% plans to reduce it.
The survey was conducted by Manpower among 700 entrepreneurs from Lima, La Libertad, Piura, Arequipa, Cusco, Ucayali and Junín, working on agriculture, fishing, finances, manufacturing, mining and construction, public administration, services, transports and commerce.
