"Look for young Peruvian female teenagers in Internet chat rooms, do a little sweet talk and persuade them to a meeting in person, then drug and rape them." Such is the modus operandi of Jorge Alberto Paiva Vásquez, a dangerous predator who was captured inflagranti by the National Police yesterday while waiting to "hang out" with another potential victim in Lima's district Surquillo.
The rapist was surprised by the police near block 25 of Av. Angamos where he waited for a minor with whom he had made contact on the Internet. The delinquent tried to escape but he was captured moments later. During a thorough search police discovered several suspicious drugs, sleeping pills, and pornographic magazines.
Paiva Vásquez was denounced by one of his previous victims, a 12-year old, who also got in contact with him via “chat”.
