Miss Peru Universe 2006 not among the favorites

Live from L.A.'s Shrine Auditoriumon Sunday, July 23rd, it's the 2006 Miss Universe Pageant as belles from 86 countries warble up a storm, pray for world peace and parade around in their scanties while quietly reciting Snow White's "mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?"
This year's crown will be passed on by the 23-year-old reigning Miss Universe Natalie Glebova of Canada and the pageant hosts will be Access Hollywood’s co-anchor Nancy O’Dell and Puerto Rican actor-singer Carlos Ponce.

In Peru, ATV (Channel 9) will be the one in charge for the 2 hour+ live broadcast starting at 8.00 p.m.
According to insider experts, Peru's representative Fiorella Viñas is not among the early favorites.
"This woman is proud to wear her sash, and she's doing a great job to get noticed. She's very competitive but needs to loosen up a bit", one insider opines.

At any rate, the LIP team wishes Miss Lambayeque good luck.

Many experts think that the judges panel is likely to give the title to Miss Mexico, even if she's not the fairest of them all!

I feel all women for this years Miss Universe were all ugly especially the latin ones. Miss Puerto Rico the winnder looks like a transvestite going for a micheal jackson look, Paraguay looks like a dog, Colombia looks fugly and the rest were just dam ugly. Overall, this was the worst pagent ever.

my personal favorite was Miss Switzerland, but hey - what do I know? :-)
The whole show was very disappointing, I think. For how long all together did you get a look at Fiorella? 10 seconds perhaps?

Im wondering what the hell is wrong w/ KittyGirl, the Latin girls where the BEST looking ones. Very disappointed in Miss USA. She was the typical, very avarage looking American girl. Nothing exotic about her. On the other hand the Latin contestants, especially Mexico, Bolivia, and Puerto Rico, were ridiculiously attractive and exotic looking. They had futures that no other girls, especially the blonde ones, were far from having. Shame on our USA selection.

I was kind a disappointed on the result, there are girls which are not deserving to be on the finalist, Ms.Switzerland is should not in there, Ms. Paraguay had a bad denture, Ms. USA was bad to be in there (very typical american girl!!, no xfactor...). If I were the judge, I would put Ms. Bolivia as the champion, Ms.Mexico for 2nd place, Ms. Puerto Rico for 3rd Place, Colombia as 4th Place and Ms. Trinidad and Tobago for 5Th place....

I predicted that Miss Puerto Rico will win, there is this thing about her. She has d qualities of a miss universe just like her counterparts.Apart from her Bolivia would have clinched d crown.I guess she was over-confident. Go Zuleyka!!1 Rule d universe.

gosh, i thought i was the only one who thought miss puerto rico 2006 had a nose job looking like a bigger version of michael jackson's nose. I remember for the miss universe pageant in 2001 in Puerto Rico, three of the judges were Puerto Rican and Puerto Rico messed up on the question bad, but they gave it to her anyways. And I know people are trying to be nice, but Trinidad and Tabago is UGGGLYY!!!

Umm ..i also thought that miss Pueto-Rico was a female version of Michael Jackson. Miss India was exotic, Miss Tanzania was good too, Miss Japan was hot and I also liked Venezuela. USA should not be in top 10. My winners are 1. India 2. Venezuela 3. Tanzania 4 Japan
