(LIP-wb) -- In the judicial process against
Abimael Guzmán Reynoso and several other leading members of Peru's Maoist terrorist group "Shining Path" (Sendero Luminoso), sentencing has been scheduled for next Friday, October 12, 2006.
Judge Pablo Talavera, holder of Peru's penal court for terrorism cases, scheduled the hearing for 10 a.m. at the maximum security court at the Naval Base in Callao.
The prosecution is seeking life imprisonment for Guzmán and all other members of the group's "central committee", accused of aggravated terrorism, homicide and crimes against the State.
