(LIP-jl) -- Officials from the World Bank participated in a conference with Peru's Minister of Economy, Juan Valdivia, in New York, and summarized Peru's positive economic outlook as "being the next Chile."
"Peru finds itself before the great possibility of becoming the next success story in Latin America, the next Chile," sustained Marcelo Giugale, Director of the Andean Area of the World Bank.

Peru: The opportunity of a different country - Prosperous, Equal, and Governable, which analyzes the sectors that are steering Peru's economic boom and the different perspectives of Peru's economy.
Giugale added that Peruvian officials should maintain its economic growth by creating new jobs and implementing a social commitment to Peru's citizens, which should aim at eliminating poverty and creating a government that fulfills its promises and commitments.
"Peru is at a place where it has never been before. With responsibility, its government can lead Peru into becoming Latin America's next success story," affirmed Giugale.
