Peru: Photo of the day

Lima, Peru: Peru's latest media stunt in it's so-called war on piracy. From time to time, local television and radio stations, and newspaper media are invited to cover a the Peruvian government's so called 'results' against the country's piracy problem. Above: An Indecopi (Peru's Copyright Authority) sponsored steam-roller destroys millions of pirated CDs confiscated in raids conducted by authorities this year.

Undecided I SUPPORT CAMPAIGNS AGAINST PIRATE PRODUCTIONS , BUT ALSO STRONGLY FEEL SOMETHING MUST BE DONE TO REDUCE PRICES FOR LEGAL STORE SOLD CDs AND  DVD,S.
THE  ORIGINAL PRODUCTS ARE  PRICED SO HIGH THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO BUY BY MANY PERUVIANS. SAME GOES FOR THE PRICE ON MOVIES.-
YOU CAN HAVE A FULL MEAL FOR 5 SOLES AND A MOVIE COSTS  15 .-
BY THE WAY ENJOYED THE ARTICLE IN EL COMERCIO. MADE ME VERY PROUD OF MY COUNTRY , WHICH HAS SO MUCH TO OFFER AND SO MUCH TO LEARN FROM OTHERS.
SOLANGE FREIRE IS MY DAUGHTER.-
