Peru's Regional President Denies Accusations of Threatening VP's Life

(LIP-ir) -- Puno, Peru's Regional President, Pablo Hernán Fuentes denied accusations that he has threatened the lives of his Vice-president Mauro Vilca and his advisors.

Fuentes labeled the accusations made by his vice-president and his advisors "scandalous."

Puno's Regional vice-president and the regional advisors have also accused Fuentes and his followers of not giving reports and informing them of what is happening in the region's government.

"That information is a bit scandalous, there is absolutely none of that going on, there must be a problem between one of them. This matter is not important, " stated Puno, Peru's Regional President.

Fuentes explained that the vice-president's position is a decorative one that does not have responsibilities unless the regional president assigns them to him, as it states in the Regional Government Law. Fuentes did although, admit that the regional advisor positions were important.

He added that the disagreements they presently have are normal ones, like any disagreements political figures have.
