Spoke with my sister in law in Lima... still some panic, but concerned about my Mother in Law, she is evacuating Callao.Has anyone heard how the evacuation is going... My Mother in law lives in the vacinity of the naval station. How long would it even take for Tsunami to start, if a quake was first registered at 6:40pm.Our prayers are with all the people, and those in ICA as well.

Spoke with several friends who live in San martin, on the border of Callao. Things are calming down, evacuation was stopped, mostly just the panic has been the issue. Damage will be surveyed in the morning. A part of the airport roof was damaged, but flights are still arriving & departing.

I have friends visiting Lima, and there are others planning to join them next week. Is there still power and water in Lima? How long do you think it will be until phone lines will be restored? Also, what is the state of the airport? Are there delays?
