F*** the stupid statue
If it passed by me I would SPIT on it
I would perform my own "Miracle" by turning
it from a Cristo Morado into a Cristo Castaño
by Smearing FECES over his UGLY FACE AND BODY

I am a Christian, not a Catholic and I don't quite get the who idoletry thing of Catholics, but I do not mind, it is there choice and I respect that.
But I really do not understand why fawk would take his anger out on an inanimate object. He sounds rather silly and childish to me. If he is mad at the Vatican policies of the Catholic Church, then there are many legitimate mature and effective ways to protest that, but peeing in a statue is for the uneducated children, note mature reasoning adults.

What has Senor De Los Milagros done to you? I am a Catholic and just return from Peru where I went to see him. I suggest you read his story and understand WHY people workship him so much. First it made me angry to read your offensive comments, but then I felt sorry for your ignorance and anger you have inside you. Is people like you that we pray for and ask the Christo Morado to help your soul to be kind and take away the anger. You are Hispanic because you mention CASTANO..Take a good look in the mirror and tell me what you see?
Cono un latino puedo hablar asi de cualquier cosa? ( How can a Latino speak this way about anything?) God stills loves you regardless

Religion has screwed up just about everything in this world. I love god but I HATE religion.

From what I see, even Muslims follow the Christian bible closer than catholics do.

WHAT GIVES YOU THE IMPRESSION THAT MUSLIMS FOLLOW THE BIBLE CLOSER THEN CATHOLICS DO? VERY FEW MUSLIMS I KNOW HAVE ACTUALLY READ IT. ALL MUSLIMS, HOWEVER, DENY THAT JESUS DIED ON A CROSS,WAS RESURECTED 3(?) DAYS LATER, OR THAT HE WAS THE SON OF GOD.
SECONDLY, I APPRECIATE 'SEñOR DE LOS MILAGROS' TO THE EXTENT THAT IT BRINGS ATTENTION TO PERU AND BRINGS TOURISM. IN A COUPLE OF DECADES PERHAPS IT WILL BE ANOTHER 'INTI RAYMI'. I MUST SAY PERUVIAN CATHOLICS HAVE CERTAINLY INVOKED THEIR PAGAN PAST WITH THEIR CHRISTIAN RELIGION.

Tony, ONLY Christians and Catholics follow the New Testement, Muslims and Jewish people only follow the Old Testement and then other sacred texts, and most Muslims do read the Bible and the Koran regularly.

All educated people deny that people can resurrect themselves. I guess muslims have better schooling. Besides, you won't find a single muslim in the world that would deny Jesus died. Btw, he actually died on a pike. The romans never used crosses.
Jesus was the illegitimate son of a woman desperate to make up a story so that her family didn't disown her, or her community stone her to death. Luckily José stepped up a played along. A very decent guy.
Catholism goes against large (or rather many many small parts) of the bible. A good example is that no idols are allowed. Another good example is that all religious teachers (including catholic priests) should marry and have families in order to teach well.
That said, over the centuries, catholic popes have been very careful to edit much of the bible, even burning large parts of it, to suit their needs. The most evangelical of evangelical christians actually read a messed up fake version edited for political reasons and power.

Agreed, the Catholic church does have much to answer for. I am not a Catholic, nor a Christian. I infact see the 'Señor de los milagros' like 'Inti Raymi'. Both a religious exercises... interesting, nothing more. However, there exist many peruvians who believe the image is sacred while many peruvians see Inti Raymi as a pass-time, and no on ever disproved the existence of Inti (the Sun god - i believ that was its name).
In responce for Americancrops, thankyou for stating the obvious. However, i disagree completely with your statement that muslims read the bible, regularly or at all. Here is Australia we had a case were a muslim women was raped and intimitated for reading the bible;

this is not to say ALL muslims do not read the bible or that the koran tells them not to, yet the anti-christian position exists. Manu muslims 'read' the koran in madrassas where arabic is the main langueage w/o understanding a word of it. I question how many Mulims have read texts by Bahaillulah, the prophet after Mohammed.
Yes, it is true that scholars etc, have probably exagerated or made up circumstances e.g. virgin birth. In fact Jesus was not the 'first' to have been born of a virign in the ancient world. There is much to say about the silliness that muslims believe too, such as prophets speaking to angels. Perhaps one day the hadj to Mecca will seen as 'Inti Raymi'.
# The Preacher says :

Old Testament Exodus 20, meaning before it was re writen.
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above, or that is in the Earth beneath, or that is in the water under the Earth."
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them, for I the LORD thy GOD am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."
So not being of the Catholic faith, why pray too these idols?
And on another subject; the Catholic church can return the good faith, by demanding that every Catholic church the world over, primarily Spain, return all the Gold that was taken from Peru that lies dormant in all the Catholic chruches, in order to help the people of Peru in their time of need. Praise The LORD, and peace to all.
Preacher.

Toni, she was reading the new testement and exploring Christianity...not just reading the Bible, and she also touched another sacred text meant only for men, so it is not fuly the story when you say she was violated simply for reading the Bible. It is a terrible and unjust thing that happened to her. The old testement is a sacred text to the Muslims, but not on the same level of the Koran.Add your comment
