Peru could conclude negotiations for a free trade agreement with China in two additional rounds because we still need to clarify some important aspects between both nations, stated today Peru’s minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Mercedes Araóz.
Peru’s vice minister of Foreign Trade, Eduardo Ferreyros reported that Peru had reached to include the topic of Customs Procedures in the negotiations for an FTA with China, during the III Round carried out last week in Beijing.
"A feasibility trade chapter has been added to the Customs topic, besides a cooperation agreement among the agencies which can allow that these share information and exchange data to avoid having distortions in terms of customs," said Ferreyros.
