Maple Energy Plc, an oil and natural-gas producer with operations in Peru, rose to a record in London and Lima on speculation it will announce a discovery of crude in the country. The company said it didn't know why the shares jumped. Maple Energy surged 30 percent to 321 pence in London trading, the biggest gain since shares were first listed 11 months ago.
