New outsourcing law creates controversy in Peru

A law passed by Peru's government giving employees of contractors more rights has already come under fire by politicians, analysts and lawyers.

Jorge Toyama, a Peruvian labor lawyer has affirmed that the new law, which was passed Monday, is "very tough" on small and medium size businesses.

Toyama assured that the contracting law, which obligates companies to make sure that contractor firms are complying with labor laws, could only be kept by large businesses such as transnational companies.

"The requirements established by the norm are hard on small businesses, subcontracting will only be possible in companies with many clients, their own equipment and finances," said the lawyer.

He affirmed that only large Peruvian businesses and transnational companies would be able to comply with the new law.

Toyama explained that the outsourcing law limited the freedom of companies in the Andean country.

According to the labor lawyer, the new law will create more unemployment.

What the hell does the new law say?

This article is nothing but people complaining, but it does not tell us anything about what they are really complaining about.  Perhaps a little more time should have been invested in writing it and giving us some REAL information.

Look folks, coming from a billionaires perspective, outsourcing is the key for over all financial success. I know, I know I have heard about the same complaints about warranties and tec support. People in India not being able to speak proper English much less understand it. Well good news my friendly Dell customers!! In order to improve upon this minor glitch, the Indian's are now starting to outsource to China where the labor is even cheaper than India, and the English would improve just a little bit. But Hey!! At least here at Dell we are trying. So please give us a little extra credit will ya?

Hi Michael. I hear Dell computers are made by Irish farmers, is this why they break after only a year?
