Peru's flag in top ten in World's Most Beautiful Flag Contest

The World's Most Beautiful Flag Contest, an unofficial competition created by a user on 20minutos.es, has received hundreds of thousands of votes since it began in the beginning of June.

The contest began with 104 flags, eliminating the five flags with the least votes every two days.

The competition is coming to an end and is now in its final stage.

The last week of voting has begun and users across the world are chossing their favorite flags.

The final ten flags remaining are Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, the Dominican Republic, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Guatemala and Puerto Rico.

Peru's red and white flag has been in the top three the entire contest and many Peruvians are eager to see it win.

It is currently ranked number two with almost 45,000 points. Mexico is ranked number one with almost 130,000 points.

It's stupid because there are a quarter of a million morons voting for their own country and not for their favorite flag. If the voters are stupid, it follows that the competition is too.

What if I call you a "moron" because you actually think that there are people out there, all over the world, who  have a "favorite flag".    I can just picture myself shooting the breeze with some of my friends and saying: "hey dude....my favorite flag in the world is the New Zealand flag.....what about you?" I'm splitting a gut right now thinking what those guys would do to me.

So you thought you were being eloquent and logical, huh?
You'd be better off not being so damn arrogant when you make your comments.

"Anonymous"....good to know you felt embarrassed and ridiculed by your own doing.  You can still give your opinion on this forum....but it shouldn't be insulting to people.  Find a healthy outlet for your bitterness.....like a punch bag, or take a long walk. Make people's day by writing something worthwhile and uplifting once in a while, man.

"Anonymous".....people don't usually have "favorite flags"  either, dude.  Go check another topic and write something logical....and above all, be civil with your comments......that's all!  Also.....what part of "the most beautiful flag in the world" don't you understand?  This silly contest is not about "favorite flags"......you coined that phrase.

Mexico is a country whit very poor people, and those ar majority. Don´t you think they don´t have own computer to aford saying their opinions about that. And it´s the same for almost all the great population countries. Think about this.

who cares who has the most beautiful flag of all????.... when we know everyone loves and prefers their own flag... duh!

if you really want to find out which flag is the prettiest.... we need a judge from another planet... and even then I wouldn't be so sure...
