Peru praises democracy after Betancourt and US hostages rescued

The president of the Peruvian Congress, Luis Gonzales Posada, expressed today that the freeing of 15 hostages from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) represented a triumph for democracy in Latin America.

“This is a victory and a triumph of Colombia and Latin America’s democracy, and it is also a hard impact that initiates the end of FARC’s terrorist groups and those sectors that trafficked with hostages exhange”, said Gonzales Posada to Andina news agency.

However, he said that the freeing of Colombia’s ex-presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and another14 people did not mean that FARC kidnappings and the National Liberation Army (ELN) had ended.

He recalled that there were still 700 people that had been kidnapped, a number that is very significant, even when compared to other Latin American realities.

“But I think it is the beginning of the terrorism’s end and they must permit humanitarian agreements to lay down arms and free people that are kept in the Colombian forest”, he said.

This only happened when McCain showed up in Colombia. If Obama's influence was involved, we'd probably be seeing Colombia's surrender to the Farc today and a communist state established.

Anyone who supports Obama/Osama is a TERRORIST who HATES AMERICA.

Neo-con? Just Neo-pros my friends!

All of you Americans living in Peru who will cast the absentee ballot, don't believe the B******* propaganda from CNN. Comrade Obama is a communist.

This is Comrade Obama's Campaign office in Houston, Texas with a Cuban flag on his wall that has a picture of Commie Che Guevara plastered on it:

This is Comrade Obama's Houston Campaign office manager performing the back step dance when asked about the Commie Che Flag:

And here we have Comrade Obama not placing his hand over his heart like everyone else in attendence, during the singing of the National Anthem of the United States:

Let us not forget his very questionable back ground as a muslim like his father, and Comrade Obama's ties with the convicted Chicago slum lord, Tony Rezko. So the Democratic National Communists along with the socialist media like Communist News Network, Anything But Capitalism, Nothing But Communism, & Communist Broadcasting System will have you all believe that Comrade Obama is the answer that AmeriKa & the rest of the freedom loving world needs?

When America votes for a Black Muslim terrorist who helped plan 9/11 it will be the end of freedom. He will destroy us all.

Cheap fried rice,

Them them keep yapping all they want.

I find racist liars to be the funniest jokes on earth, I laugh at them every time they start trying to spit thoughts out of their silly little heads.

No one takes them seriously, they are jokes, nothing more and provide amusing diversion to anotherwise dull day.

They will never have any serious role in society, they will only be comic fringe.

The above links have nothing to do with the over all sound qualifications that Obama has as a potential President of the United States. Anyone who votes against him, is a racist.

I am really glad to see these people achieve their freedom. The Obama rant is dead on. He has ties to communism besides the above links, and I agree that a vote for Obama is a vote for communism and not racism. "People are tired of hearing that one played out." Communism just like the little group called FARC that these people managed to get away from, is a very infectious plague that infects all who are promised everything, but in the end receive only hardship at the expense of those whos property and lives were completly destroyed in the process. No Obama in 2008. And no to communism and groups like FARC; which Hugo supports by the way.

Relax People, The topic was this magnificent rescue of these hostages without firing one shot or killing anyone. Supposedly the Special Forces tricked the rebels into releasing the hostages. It also shows a breakdown in the rebels hierarchy, which bodes well for all peace loving people in South America. I congratulate our Colombian Brothers on a job well done. Now my Friends can we spread the Love. Chau My Friends

Since the successful Colombian army attack on the FARC camp (just strategically inside the Ecuador border) a few months ago, FARC now knows that the CIA can listen to their cellular, radio and land based calls.  Given that their top two leaders are now dead and their mode of communication has been dramatically reduced/changed, FARC's command and control has been seriously distrupted.
