What exactly is a "North American flag"? I assume the reference should have been to the flag of the United States, unless the Canadian flag was also included in this ceremony.

Use some common sense 'Canadian'. They obviously meant the American flag. Cheesy comments like this make the rest of us Canadians look bad.

The North American flag is the Canadian flag that American backpackpackers are advised to show and which saves naive young Americans from abuse and ridicule all over the world.

The 'new north american flag won't be unveiled until they finalise the North American Union - with the Amero, the new currency and probably a flag containing parts of the US, Canada and Mexico's current respective flags

Nice that our embassy is celebrating the 4th of July, United States of America Independence day with the Peruvians and Colombians.
In the past they have sponsored an event for expat citizens of the United States to enjoy at the embassy but it looks like this year they have decided that US citizens will not have a 4th of July celebration.
Makes a lot of sense.

This lunch (above) is hosted annually by the ambassador at his residence for officials and dignitaries of governments and business. I am told that the other event to which you refer was co-sponsored by the American & Canadian Association of Peru - not the US Embassy. The embassy used to "volunteer their back yard" for this event - but the cost was borne by the association. I am told that it is no longer held there because the embassy had serious security concerns. Lots of people entering the embassy grounds without background checks.

Mark, The Real One? You are so correct about the Amero. Not only the new currency, but also the largest land grab from citizens in the history of Texas or the United States for that matter. I need all of this land for the new Trans Texas Corridor Super Highway System. This new highway is part of the over all grand scheme of things to undermine the people of Texas, & the rest of the United States by insuring that the worthless NAFTA stays intact. This will futher undermine the farmers and truckers in Texas & the United States by allowing Mexican Truckers to ship goods and services from Mexico & Central America, to the United States and Canada. All the time filling my personal coffers with the help of a no outside bid contract to build the highway curtious of my friends over in Spain. After I fill up my off shore accounts, I will switch to the new AMERO.

Mr Perry, if you keep talking about things that 'aren't going to happen' people will start calling you a conspiracy theorist and might think you're crazy! Worse yet they might even call you a communist or a terrorist.
When it's been built and those 'Mexican truckers' are driving on it THEN the misguided citizens of the land of the free might wake up to the fact that not everything your wonderful freedom/democracy loving government says is the truth eh....shame really 'cause by then it'll be too late.
Another clear example of Mr Bushs' total disregard of the American Constitution. Someone should mention the fact that he has to consult the American Congress and the American People before implementing measures that will result in the dissolution of the constitution and the UNITED States.
I hear they have really good parties though, maybe you can organise me an invite?
hahahaha
Peace
