A Peruvian youngster drag racing on Javier Prado Avenue had to be taken to the hospital after he lost control of his vehicle and ran up onto a median strip in an upscale residential district in Lima.

According to local media, two youngsters were drag racing on the 55th block of Javier Prado Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. in the district of La Molina

Witnesses reported that the two drivers lost control of their vehicles when they got too close to each other during the race and crashed laterally.

Both vehicles, a silver one identified with license plate number BOW-756 and a red one identified with license plate number KQ-6519, were sent flying onto the median strip and partially destroyed.

The silver vehicle crashed head-on into a tree while the two right wheels of the red car were left on top of its opponent and the other two in a gutter.

Despite its amazing position, the red car was intact after the accident.

The two youngsters crawled out of the vehicle's windows and were helped by friends. While one was taken to a nearby hospital, the other preferred to blend into the crowd and was not identified.

Neighbors assured that drag races took place on that section of Javier Prado Avenue at least two times per week.

But daddy will protect them from the big, bad police.  MY KID was misbehaving???  Let's talk about the blood alcohol levels, shall we?  The only thing we can hope for is that the next time they crash it is fatal -- for the drivers.  It's call cleansing the gene pool.
