Peru's vice minister of Foreign Trade, Eduardo Ferreyros (right), will meet with the trade deputy minister of the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on September 11 in Seoul (Korea), with the aim of reviewing the results obtained in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) joint feasibility study as well as to discuss topics related to this negotiation process.
It is worth mentioning that last May, Peru and Korea announced the completion of this successful joint feasibility study, which was carried out by representatives of private sectors from both countries.
They also agreed to review the results obtained in the feasibility study before stating a possible beginning of negotiations for a bilateral FTA, which will be announced during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) to be held in November in Lima, Peru.
The negotiation process will start in September, 2009.
Ferreyros will also attend the first Korea-Latin America Economic Cooperation and Trade Forum, to be held in Seoul from September 9-10.
He was invited by Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
