International Chemists to meet in Peru for pharmacology campaign


With the participation of prestigious university authorities from Spain, Argentina, and Cuba, the First International Congress of Pharmacology Education will be held in Lima from October 5-8.

In addition to this event, organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of Wiener University, the 2nd National Convention of Pharmacy and Biochemistry Education will take place.

The aim of this event is gathering the national pharmaceutical community, integrated by academics, and representatives of trade and production.

This meeting will allow establishing adequate mechanisms to overcome the formative deficiencies and starting the change required by the profession to accomplish the demands of society.

Among representatives to take part of this event are the Honorary Dean of the Pharmacy and Biochemistry Faculty of the Complutense University of Madrid, Benito del Castillo; the Dean of the Pharmacy Faculty of the Sevilla University, Agustín García, and the Dean of Pharmacy Faculty of the Buenos Aires University, Alberto Boveris.

Peruvians to participate are the Dr. Miguel Fernández Pérez de Cuba, and six other physicians.

Is it a typo or a cut-and-paste error? Is Dr. Miguel Fernandez Perez Peruvian or Cuban? And the six physicians? Are they from Peru? Looks like the last paragraph is incomplete...

I always wondered about medicine products made in Peruvian laboratories. Considering we are a third world country, some of our home made products are actually quite good. I remember my Peruvian friends in pharmacy school - some of them were quite studious and smart. Hope pharmacy in Peru has future and investment.
