World Cup qualifiers: Peru faces off against Bolivia 11,000 feet above sea level

In an effort to gain their second victory, the Peruvian soccer team will face Bolivia’s squad today at 14:00 hours (19:00 GMT) in a crucial game to revive their chances of qualifying for the South Africa World Cup 2010.

For this game, the Peruvian team will stay today in Tacna until 9:00 hours and then they will travel to La Paz to play against Bolivia.

The trip to La Paz was arranged to be the same day of the game in order to counter altitude sickness that is common in La Paz city located 3,600 meters (11,811 feet) above sea level.

Alberto Rodríguez will be the only one absent in the game due to an injury in his right knee, while other Peruvian players such as Rainer Torres, Henry Quinteros and Guillermo Salas have recovered completely from their injuries.

3-0.  Peruvians have short memory.
Where's 'peloflex' when you need him.

I think this just goes to prove the point myself and others were making earlier - Peru doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of making it to the world cup.

I am happy about changes to the team itself, but it still isn't very good.  Coaching and management needs to be changed too.

Im with you brother.  Many would agree that you, I and others are thinking realistically, but there are some clowns out there that think we're nothing but embarassments to Peru for not living in a fantasy land.

Where you at pelo? (lol).
