James Bond Prefers 'Pisco'
This is exactly what happened to Daniel Craig, the actor plays the leading role in the latest episode of the James Bond saga. Craig had his first encounter with the local beverage while filming "Quantum of Solace" in Chile's northern desert area.
"Bond" was so delighted by Pisco that he reportedly demanded that plenty of it be served at the premier presentation of his film in London, with the attendance of guests such as Prince William and Prince Harry. APEC summit security boss removed a week before key gathering
Peruvian Police colonel Oswaldo Alfaro, who was to be in charge of security at the 16th summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, was removed from the job a week before the gathering that is set to be held in Lima, Peruvian media reported Friday. New Interior Minister Remigio Hernani was said to have removed Alfaro along with all other officials with ties to former head of police Octavio Salazar, a personal rival whom he has already dismissed. China donates 63 vehicles to Peru for 16th APEC summit
China donated 63 cars to Peru Friday for the upcoming Economic Leaders' Informal Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum on Nov. 22-23 in Lima, the capital of Peru.

Peru extends its state of emergency in drug regions
Peru on Wednesday extended for another 60 days a state of emergency in three central Andean regions plagued by guerrilla and drug-trafficking violence, Defense Minister Antero Florez said.
The measure gives the army control of Ayacucho, Cuzco and Junin regions where most of Peru’s cocaine trade originates and the remnants of the Shining Path rebel group team up with drug-trafficking gangs to fight government forces. (Click
