SUNAT seized more than 20 tons of CD's and DVD's in downtown Lima

Civil employees of SUNAT seized more than 20 tons of CD's and DVD's with a commercial value of more than $100 thousands, when making an inspection in two warehouses in the centre of Lima. This inspection is part of the control actions that SUNAT makes during Christmas.

The intervention was made in two warehouses located in the 8th and 9th block of “Calle de Cusco” in the Centre of Lima. These had not been registered by SUNAT before, but were under suspicion as the owner “forgot” to declare the products he had in stock.

The first investigations indicated that the owner of the CD’s and DVD’s would be one of the main suppliers of CD's and DVD's - a Mafia dedicated to the piracy and illegal reproduction of films.
