Peru: Team of journalists to climb to Huascaran peak.

LivingInPeru

A team of journalists from newspapers, radio, TV and internet (based in Huaraz) is getting ready to climb to the top of the Huascarán peak, which is considered to be the highest tropical mountain in the world.

This tour, which has been called “Journalistic Expedition Huascaran 2009” will try this challenge on July 2009, not only to make a dream come true but also in order to know first hand the environmental problems and the deglaciation that Ancash mountains are going through.

Another goal of this expedition is motivating the population for environmental awareness.

The expedition is organized by the Huaraz's Federation of Journalists, the Press and Solidarity Institute of Ancash and the Latin American Association of Adventure Sports (ALDEA).

So what,

People do this all the time an its not a news event. oohhhhhh, these guys are JOURNALISTS. That must be why its news. I climbed it with my brother-in-law about 6 years ago. He was 19 and had never climbed anything taller than a couple flights of stairs at sea level. I grew up in WA and have done Ranier, Baker and Shasta a few times. Huascaran is easier and well worth it! The views are stunning but is not really news.

I don't understand dick heads like you.  All you ever do is bitch and complain about everything.  It can be good news or bad news but theres always a gang of assholes on here who do absolutely nothing but whine and complain about whatever stupid little thing.

Come to think of it I dont even know why I'm wasting my time.
