Peru: Keiko Fujimori says judges want her father to die in prison

In an interview with RPP news reporters, Congresswoman Keiko Fujimori affirmed the panel of judges that was to handle her father's third trial were not qualified to do so.

Affirming the judges were biased because they had already sentenced former President Alberto Fujimori to twenty-five years in prison for the violation of human rights, Keiko said their ruling would not be fair.

Alberto Fujimori's daughter said her father's trial had been a political one and had placed him at the level of insurgents.

"This sentence was unfair; the man that saved Peru from terrorism has been sentenced as if he were a criminal," said Keiko.

These judges will not be objective during the next trial and want my father to die in prison, said Keiko.

She explained that many of the people that agreed with the sentence had been influenced by the media and that no one had any proof against her father.

Alberto Fujimori will currently go on trial for having allegedly given his advisor Vladimiro Montesinos $15 million.

It's obvious she has to say that since she's Alberto Fujimori's daughter.

I was just reading peru 21 and found this from mister Vargas Llosa.
“Una segunda vuelta entre Keiko y Ollanta sería como elegir entre el cáncer y el sida" .
Well the same we listen the last time about Alan and Ollanta in year 2006 and as fare as I remember  writer Mario Vargas  Llosa took part in actual presidential  invitations and seemed to enjoy company in elegant enviorment
I am not Fujimorista but quit honest I disagree that   a person who seems to be one of the leading figures of Peruvian culture and outspoken defender of human rights  (which count for everyone same) seems to attack verbaly a pregnat woman.
Last week we saw how the lady was pushed in front of cameras and had to declare with a swollen face about bills from the past.
Bills and transparency are important but there is a time and a moment for this.
In any developed country pregnat woman same as very sick persons enjoy special protection from the society- it includes also if they are crime acused or even in jail (what is not the case from miss Keiko).
Where are the voices of those who inparcial stand for life- quit evident the lady suffers EPH gestose - a sickness which douring pregnancy is as much risky for mother as for child-  more than that -it can cause death.
What heappen with miss Keiko pregnant is only one sample that in rights of woman many things in Peru need to be corrected.
In very general terms - any misstreatment of a pregnant  woman-
Not under my name
(former midwife)
Do I have more persons here who agree?
