Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) and the National Service of Natural Protected Areas (Sernanp) are to sign an agreement to promote the sustainable management of natural protected areas.
The signing ceremony will include the presentation of a book entitled “Valoración Económica del Turismo en el Sistema Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas del Perú” (Economic Valuation of Tourism in the National System of Peru’s Natural Protected Areas).
The book focuses on tourism as a tool for developing natural resources and to create more jobs for local people as well.
The ceremony will take place today at the Mincetur facilities, according to
Andina.
