Peru: President Alan Garcia's approval rating rises to 27 pct.

According to the most recent poll run by Apoyo market research company, Peru's President Alan Garcia's overall approval rating has slightly risen to 27%, while 69% strongly disapprove of it.

The survey was run among 1,000 people aged between 18 and 70 years, between August 12th and 14th.

In addition, the Congress' disapproval rating rose from 77% to 80%, keeping only a 15% of approval, while the new President of the Congress, Luis Alva Castro, has an approval rating of only 16%, and a disapproval rating of 65%.

Garcia's approval rating grew by 1% despite the social unrest and the large protests against him that have have took place in recent days, organized by the amazonian communities and also by several unions.

If this numbers if they are correct they must come from.
1. fast reconstruction form south after earthquake- people on the street there in tv interviews give interesting versions how fast everything is running there.
2. recent corruption scandals in justice shich mister Garcia promised to reform
3. tv imagenes where some campesinos took over a police station and than randsom for liberation of policeman had to be paid.... and so on and so on .....
