Puno's Regional Directorate of Health (Diresa -Puno) has reported 17 deaths due to tuberculosis (TBC) in this region during the first semester of 2009, as well as 202 confirmed cases, 186 of wich are patients who have just contracted the disease for the first time. # mericorps says :

One does not die ON diseases, but OF them.
I think to market an English language news source, one should try to improve the translations. I admit I make errors in grammar and spelling all the time and my translation skills are not perfect, however, I am not trying to market them either.

Thank you, mericorps! I try not to be a nit picker but the English translation of most of the articles in Living in Peru could use some editing and correction. I would galdly do it for free! But other than the tortured English and some of the extreme crazies who post comments, I enjoy this website.Add your comment
