Peru: Antares Commences Drill Program in Peru

Antares Commences Drill Program to Delineate New High-Grade Cu-Mo Porphyry Deposit at Haquira Project, Peru

Antares Minerals Inc. ("Antares" or the "Company", ANM.TSX-V) is pleased to announce that a drill program has started at the Haquira copper project in Peru. One rig is currently drilling and a second rig has been delayed, but is scheduled to be on the property by mid-July. The program will consist of a minimum of 5,000 m of drilling with a strong probability that the total meterage will be increased. The objective of the program is to delineate recently discovered high-grade primary copper-molybdenum mineralization beneath the secondary copper blanket at the
Haquira East zone.

In February 2007 Antares announced that in-fill drilling to define near-surface leachable copper mineralization at the Haquira East zone had led to the discovery of underlying high-grade primary copper-molybdenum sulphide mineralization. This discovery was in addition to confirmation of grades and thicknesses expected in the near-surface leachable portion of the deposit. Drill holes at the Haquira East zone typically pierce the near-surface secondary copper zone and terminate in 20-100 m of underlying primary copper sulphide mineralization hosted within a monzonite porphyry stock with abundant stockwork quartz veining. Two slightly deeper holes, drilled in late 2006, intersected high-grade primary copper-molydenum sulphide mineralization at the bottom of the holes as indicated below:
<<
- AHAD-097: 52.10 m with 1.10% Cu, 0.101% Mo, and 0.12 g/t Au (1.78% Cu
equivalent); hole terminated at 252.7 m, final 3.1 m of hole is post-
mineral pebble breccia with low grades
- AHAD-082: 42.80 m with 0.97% Cu and 0.077% Mo (1.43% Cu equivalent);
hole terminated at 249.8 m in 1.18% Cu and 0.22% Mo
>>
AHAD-097, the last drill hole of the 2006 campaign, confirmed the discovery of a bornite-rich core to the Haquira East porphyry system with very high primary copper and molybdenum grades as well as elevated gold contents. The molybdenum contents are considered noteworthy given the current elevated price for this metal. The mineralized primary system is now defined by 20 drill holes (0.3% Cu cut-off), has minimum dimensions of 750 by 450 m in plan view, and remains open to the south and to depth. High-grade drill holes AHAD-082 and AHAD-097 are located along the southern margin of the currently defined system. AHAD-082 (drilled at -70 degrees to the southwest) is collared 315 m to the east-northeast of AHAD-097 (drilled at -70 to the northeast). See press release issued on February 26, 2007 and maps and sections available at the Antares website - www.antaresminerals.com.

John Black, CEO of Antares, commented as follows:

"We are very excited about the opportunity to follow-up the high grade copper-molybdenum intercepts in holes AHAD-082 and AHAD-097. The primary sulphide mineralization encountered in these two holes is very typical of porphyry-style mineralization with good potential for large volumes. The mineralized system remains open to the south and has only been tested to a maximum of 250 m depth. The current drilling program will focus on delineation of the higher grade bornite core of system and will include deep drilling to test the full vertical extent of the system. Success in this drilling program would add an entirely new dimension to the Haquira Project."

About Antares
-------------

Antares is focused on the acquisition and exploration of precious and base-metal exploration properties in Latin America that can be quickly and cost-effectively advanced to the discovery and production stage. Antares' has recently completed an extensive drilling program at its most advanced project, the Haquira SX-EW copper project in south-central Peru, immediately adjacent to the Las Bambas Project of Xstrata Copper. The Haquira project hosts an inferred mineral resource, at a 0.3% total copper cut-off grade, of 156.3 million tonnes grading 0.49% copper amenable to SX-EW processing (leachable copper oxides and secondary sulphides only). See Antares press release dated February 14, 2006. An additional 97 drill holes were completed in late 2006 and an updated resource estimate will be completed by July of 2007. Antares has an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Haquira project from Minera Phelps Dodge del Peru S.A.C. Antares is also exploring the Rio Grande copper-gold porphyry project in NW Argentina pursuant to an option/joint venture agreement with Mansfield Minerals Inc.

The TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.

All of Antares' exploration programs and pertinent disclosure of a technical or scientific nature are prepared by, or prepared under the direct supervision of John Black, Antares' President/CEO, who serves as the qualified person (QP) under the definitions of National Instrument 43-101. Mineral resources do not have demonstrated economic viability and future in-fill drilling and scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies will determine what percentage of the inferred resource can be placed into the
mineable category. Antares is not aware of any environmental, permitting, legal, title, taxation, socio-political, marketing or other issue which may materially affect this estimate of mineral resources.

Certain disclosure in this release, including management's assessment of Antares' plans and projects, constitutes forward-looking statements that are subject to numerous risks, uncertainties and other factors relating to Antares' operation as a mineral exploration company that may cause future results to differ materially from those expressed or implied. Readers are cautioned not to place undue reliance on forward-looking statements.

Cold Wave DREF Bulletin no. MDRPE002

The Federation’s mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity. It is the world’s largest humanitarian organization and its millions of volunteers are active in 185 countries.

In Brief

This DREF Bulletin is being issued based on the situation described below reflecting the information available at this time. CHF 18,000 (USD 14,634 or EUR 10,909) was allocated from the Federation’s Disaster Relief Emergency Fund (DREF) on 29 June 2007 to respond to the most urgent needs of the affected population.

This operation is expected to be implemented over 3 months, and will be completed by 29 September 2007; a Final Report will be made available three months after the end of the operation (by 29 December 2007). Unearmarked funds to repay DREF are encouraged.

This operation is aligned with the International Federation's Global Agenda, which sets out four broad goals to meet the Federation's mission to "improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity".

Global Agenda Goals:

- Reduce the numbers of deaths, injuries and impact from disasters.

- Reduce the number of deaths, illnesses and impact from diseases and public health emergencies.

- Increase local community, civil society and Red Cross Red Crescent capacity to address the mosturgent situations of vulnerability.

- Reduce intolerance, discrimination and social exclusion and promote respect for diversity and human dignity.

Background and current situation

In the high Andean regions of central and southern Peru, the winter season started in June with an abrupt change of temperature which has fallen to a low of -25°C. On 15 June 2007, the Peruvian government declared through the Supreme Decree Nº 050-2007-PCM, a state of emergency for a period of 60 days in the following 13 departments in the country: Ayacucho, Apurimac, Arequipa, Cajamarca, Cusco, Junín, Huánuco, Huancavelica, Loreto, Moquegua, Pasco, Puno and Tacna, Arequipa, Cusco, Huancavelica, Moquegua and Puno.

Six days later, on 21 June 2007, through the Supreme Decree (S.D) N º 018-2007-PCM, urgent measures were established for the departments affected by extreme frosts and the anticipation of a harsh cold front in the coming days. The same day, through the S.D. N º 052-2007-PCM, the government declared an elevated State of Emergency as a result of low temperatures in the Departments of Puno, Tacna, Arequipa, Moquegua, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Cusco, Huancavelica, Junín and Pasco for a period of sixty (60) days with the request for immediate actions seeking the reduction and minimization of the existing risks, in line with that established in the former S.D N ° 50-2007-PCM.

The Peruvian President, who is currently visiting the most affected areas due to the extremely low temperatures, has qualified the situation as "dramatic" and has predicted that in the coming weeks, more than two million Peruvians “are going to suffer from extreme temperatures lower than minus fifteen degrees Celsius”.

Many children living in these poor regions of the country are malnourished and have been the main victims of the severe cold wave. Official reports state that 48 children under five years of age have died due to pneumonia caused by the cold wave, and more than 200.000 Peruvians are currently being affected by this emergency.

Schools in the departments of Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Junín and Arequipa have modified their schedules in an attempt to avoid exposing the children to the harsh weather during the coldest hours of the day. At the same time, the government is considering the temporary evacuation of the population living above 4,000 meters from sea level, with the purpose of protecting them from the climatic inclemency.

Donations of medicine for acute respiratory infections are being coordinated by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture is also preparing the donation of animal shelters and forage in order to protect the main livelihood of affected populations. In addition, more than 3,000 young health professionals are being sent to the most affected areas

The agricultural sector has been severely affected by these extreme temperatures as well since crops have been covered by snow. The latest assessments show agricultural losses of 54,248 hectares, leaving another 91,308 affected. In addition, the death toll of farm animals, which represent a large portion of the income of residents of the affected regions, continues to increase. To date however, no official consolidated figures exist, regarding the degree of damage.

The Government has approved the transfer of over USD 2 million to the different Ministries to assist families with clothes, blankets and food where farms and crops have been most affected; the National Ministers' Council has agreed to create a fund to compensate the farmers who have suffered losses of cattle.

Governmental and private campaigns have been launched to encourage the population to respond to this emergency. On June 12, the Head of the National Civil Defence (INDECI) announced the initiation of the "Well prepared for the cold” (“Ante el frío, mejor preparados”) campaign, which consists of public service announcements and the distribution of posters on prevention measures. The announcement will be sent out in both Spanish and Quechua within the most high risk, affected zones.

The following donations are being prioritized:

- Warm clothes: blankets, coats, jackets, mattress, polar clothes, gloves and scarves.

- Non perishable food items - packed and sealed - such as canned fish and stews, pasta, milk, and sugar.

- Medicines: Antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, anti-cough, among others.

According to the latest reports, the National Civil Defence (INDECI) has distributed 53,748 blankets and 102,278 kg of clothes; 271.541 Peruvians have received humanitarian assistance since the start of the low temperatures.

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology (SENAMHI) has announced that the cold front will continue until September and will be more severe than past years. The lowest temperatures are expected for July and the following recommendations have been made to the exposed population:

a) To take the needed precautions for crops and to avoid keeping animals in the open air, in order to avoid losses caused by the frost.

b) To ensure adequate hydration of the whole body, especially the face and the hands, since these are the most exposed body parts to low temperatures.

c) To avoid sudden temperature changes and to cover the head, face and mouth in order to avoid the entry of cold air into the lungs.

d) To use thermal and impermeable clothes to cover the whole body, dean including gloves and caps.

e) To protect and to take care of elders and children so as to not expose them to the low temperatures.

f) To protect the feet with warm socks and high impermeable footwear.

g) To sleep with several blankets.

h) To consume fruits, fresh vegetables, sugar, sweets and fats to increase the capacity of resistance to the cold.

i) To take warm drinks and vitamin C.

j) To check and fit roofs, windows and doors.

k) To remain inside the house and to go out only if necessary.

l) To avoid the use of the kitchen as a bedroom, mainly for children under the age of five, with the aim to diminish the exposure to the smoke.

m) In case of emergency, go to the temporary shelters enabled by the authorities.

Doe Run Peru Reports on La Oroya Environmental Progress Emissions of Lead, Arsenic, Particulate Matter Remain Within Peruvian Standards

(Official Press Release -link-)

Emissions from the main stack of particulate matter, lead and other metals at Doe Run Peru's La Oroya metallurgical complex continue to meet Peruvian air quality standards, the company announced Monday.

"We are pleased by our continuing progress with addressing these environmental issues and at the same time are actively working to bring them lower," said Jose Mogrovejo, the company's vice president for environmental affairs.

Emissions of particulate matter have fallen more than 50 percent since 1997, when Doe Run Peru purchased the facility. Main stack emissions through May are as follows:

* Particulate matter dropped from 175 milligrams per normal cubic meter (mg/Nm3) in 1994 to 147 mg/Nm3 in 1997 to 71 mg/Nm3 in 2007 (through May). The maximum permissible limit is 100 mg/Nm3.

* Lead dropped from 43 mg/Nm3 in 1994 to 38 mg/Nm3 in 1997 to 23 mg/Nm3 in 2007 (through May). The maximum permissible limit is 25 mg/Nm3.

* Arsenic dropped from 30 mg/Nm3 in 1994 to 28 mg/Nm3 in 1997 to 13 mg/Nm3 in 2007 (through May). The maximum permissible limit is 25 mg/Nm3.

The progress continues from earlier this year, and is attributed to an aggressive modernization campaign and the execution of several projects to address environmental issues including emissions at the main stack.

Along with its work to address emissions of lead, the primary health concern, the company also continues to work on sulfur dioxide emissions and anticipates notable reductions with the construction of acid plants for the lead and copper circuits, which are expected to be completed in September of this year and October of 2009, respectively.

Mogrovejo also noted that the company has given priority to complementary projects including enclosing the buildings at the metallurgical complex in order to control fugitive emissions of heavy metals, especially lead, which were not included under the company's original environmental operating agreement, known by its initials, PAMA. This additional project has required an investment of some $15 million.

So far Doe Run Peru has invested more than $116 million on various environmental improvements. Once the PAMA projects are complete, which is expected in 2009, the company's total investment on environmental issues is expected to reach $254 million, nearly 2.4 times the initial required investment.

The company is also investing some $1 million per year in a joint program with the Peruvian Ministry of Health and the Regional Government of Junín that is designed to lower blood lead levels in the people of La Oroya, particularly the children. The program was developed voluntarily by Doe Run Peru in 2003 and was recently renewed for three more years.

About Doe Run Peru

Doe Run Peru is a mining and metals company operating in Peru's central Andes. The company has run the La Oroya metallurgical complex since 1997 and the Cobriza mine in Huancavelica since 1998, producing high quality refined metals while at the same time working to operate in a socially and environmentally responsible way.

The La Oroya facility last year attained the ISO 14001 environmental standard for the first time in the facility's history. The certification, which is awarded by outside auditors, recognizes the environmental safeguards, procedures and management systems in place at the metallurgical complex, one of the world's only multi-metal processing facilities.

ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized environmental management system standard set by the International Standards Organization that looks at what organizations do to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities and achieving continual improvement of its environmental performance.

Pure Biofuels Provides Status of Construction of Fifty-Two Million Gallon Callao Port Facility in Peru

(Official Press Release -link-)

Pure Biofuels Corp. (OTCBB:PBOF) today announced that construction has begun at the company’s primary production facility at the Port of Callao in Lima, Peru. The facility’s annual nameplate capacity will be more than 52 million gallons per year and is expected to be online by the first quarter of 2008.

“We are very pleased to announce that the initial phase of heavy equipment installation and site preparation has been completed and that our construction partners are in the process of laying the foundation and supports for our Callao Port facility,” stated Pure Biofuels’ Founder and CEO Luis Goyzueta. “This is a significant step for our company and for the entire renewable fuel industry in South America. We are developing what we believe will be one of the largest biodiesel facilities in South America and we’re confident our business model will deliver top-grade biodiesel at competitive prices.”

Earlier this year, Pure announced its vertical integration strategy whereby the company will produce 100% of its own feedstock on plantations managed and operated by the company. The company has secured a long-term lease on an initial 60,000 hectare parcel of land in eastern Peru, which it expects to expand to more than 100,000 hectares in the coming months. By planting and harvesting its own crops and producing its own feedstock, the company expects to significantly diminish commodity price risk for its feedstock supply and substantially lower its cost base.

The Callao Port facility will cover 4.7 hectares (almost 12 acres) and sits on land purchased by Pure last year. Pure’s management hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking in February, when several senior public and private sector officials were on hand to help commemorate the occasion. The company has expansion plans that would increase nameplate capacity to more than 150 MMgy by the end of 2009.

Built-in advantages to locating the facility on the land purchased last year include its waterfront site on the Port of Callao and an underwater pipe that is being installed to deliver feedstock and other fuels for blending. The site also sits near the La Pampilla Refinery, Peru’s largest refinery.

About Pure Biofuels Corporation

Pure Biofuels is committed to becoming a leader in Latin America's rapidly emerging biofuels industry. Pure Biofuels' flagship project, the Callao Port biodiesel refinery near Lima, Peru, is scheduled to commence production during the first quarter of 2008. The Callao Port refinery will process biodiesel from crude palm oil feedstock. Pure Biofuels has secured memorandums of understanding with local fuel distributors for all of Callao Port's annual biodiesel production. The company believes Peru’s economic growth and expansion, which includes a more than doubling of foreign direct investment in the country to $3.5 billion in 2006, adds to Peru’s promise as an attractive geography for alternative fuel production and development. For more information about Pure Biofuels, please visit Biofuels Corp.

About Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a clean and renewable energy source derived from vegetable oil that can be used in unmodified diesel engines. Biodiesel improves overall engine performance, is 100% compatible with existing diesel vehicles and infrastructure, and has proven reliable in over 50 million miles of road testing.
