$15.6 million Soles will be allocated for this project for the provinces of Moho, Carabaya and El Collao, in Puno; 198 from Quispicanchi, Cusco; and 93 from Angaraes, Huancavelica.
These Sumaq Wasi houses are modules constructed from traditional materials and systems so that they can be replicated by the inhabitants of the high Andean areas, to combat frost and cold.
The modules will have four environments and security against earthquakes. “At the same time, they contribute to health care and improve the quality of life of poor and extremely poor families”, said the ministry, according to El Peruano.
The size of each module will be of 33 square meters with four rooms, a kitchen-dining room, two bedrooms and a closed transition room prior to the access of the house that prevents the entry of cold air.
