Power Cut in Barranco and Miraflores

Luz del Sur informed that the occurrence could last a few hours, depending on your area.

In the start of the work week, as people were getting ready to start their day, a power cut surprised residents this Monday morning at 6 am in the districts of Barranco and Miraflores.

The electric power company Luz del Sur shared with El Comercio that the power cut happened between Av. 28 de Julio and Republic of Panama in the districts of Barranco and Miraflores and they had hoped to reestablish connection within two hours of the 6 am outage.

“It’s recent and we hope it will not take more than two hours,” stated Hans Berger, Corporate Relations Manager of Luz del Sur to El Comercio.

It doesn’t come as a surprise that there is a power cut, as many of you know and have experienced that this isn’t the first time that something like this has happened in various districts for several hours on end.

Luz del Sur also mentioned that last week a power cut transpired due to an underground cable project by Sedapal.
